A jib arm  is flexible piece of  gear that provides fluid motion and a huge variety of angles to any production looking for a high end look. But more important than the actual equipment is the operator. A jib could be compared to a guitar, anyone can buy one, some can play simple tunes, but it takes a professional to make one truly perform.

A jib is best known for the classic wide sweeping vista shot, but in the right hands can be used with a longer lens and provide dolly style moves. Contact Scott Jolley to discuss the possibilities for your next shoot.

Missouri Jib Arm

A jib can be measured by reach or by length. The reach is the distance from the pivot to the camera. My Jimmy Jib Triangle has a minimum reach of 6ft with a maximum of 30ft. It has tilt, pan, zoom and iris controls and can handle any camera up to 50 lbs. A wide angle lens is strongly recommended.

A certificate of insurance naming Scott Jolley as additionally insured is required with any jib rental. Set up time for the jib is approximately 1 hour. Prime lens require an additional wireless follow focus.

Rate for a 10 hour day is $600 for the jib and $600 for the operator. Call for multiple day discount information.
